Posting from Portland!
Hi everyone!
I'm posting from my new home, Portland, OR. Unfortunately, we don't have an actual home yet and my computer's wireless card isn't working. But once I get it working I'll have some nice photos to post of food and buildings. And Portland is the cattiest city I've ever been to. We've been doing some house-hunting and every block has cats even if they aren't in the houses we're looking at. The food is amazing and so is the vintage clothing, although the vintage clothing I'm buying isn't going to fit soon if I keep eating all of the fancy food here like vegan cinnamon buns, the best hummus I've ever had, and really good BBQ tofu with black eyed pea stew and collard greens available until 2 am.
I'm still knitting very slowly and will post updates of the socks soon. I'm also looking for a new knitting group.
Thanks for hanging in during this break from posting. I'll be back soon!

Emily!
good to hear that you've landed in Portland. I'm in the Dublin airport on wireless, and will be heading to Manchester within the hour.
Keep posting. Rneee

Congratulations on the move, Emily. My niece and her husband live in Portland now, where she goes to chiropractic school. Would you like to meet them? I think you'd like one another. Email me for her info if you'd like. xoxoxoMarianne

Wow, I had no idea you were moving! How exciting! My brother lives in Portland and he loves it, and I used to live in Eugene and I have wonderful memories of traveling around the whole beautiful state.

Hey there-
I just clicked onto your blog from someone's blog-roll. I know that we don't exactly know each other but I live in Portland and am also vegan, so, if you need any help with anything at all in your settling process feel free to email me.
Good luck in your move :)

Jesus. Didn't you used to live in Northern California?
Everybody's moving to PDX. We (the wife and I) used to live there. We have a bunch of friends that have moved there recently.
Our little NorCal town is getting smaller and we are hardcore missing good vegan options....
Enjoy PDX for us!
